How we make money
ConcreterScore earns money from concreters who pay for labelled spots. Homeowners pay nothing, and we do not sell their details.

The paid spots
| Spot | Where it appears | Label on the page |
|---|---|---|
| Suburb Partner | Top of a suburb page, above the ranked list | "Featured partner. Paid placement." |
| Verified Profile | A business's own listing page | "Verified profile (paid)" |
| Cost Guide Data Partner | Cost guide pages | "Data partner (paid): [name]." |
| Expert Answer | Answers on a few guide pages, at most 3 per page | "Expert answer. Paid." |
| City Sponsor | A city page banner and one intro link | "City sponsor. Paid placement." |
An empty spot says it is open and links to the enquiry page.
What payment never buys
Paying never changes a score, a rank or the order of the ranked list. The Featured partner box sits outside the list, and the partner's own listing keeps the score and position it earned. Paid spots are also left out of the copy of the ranked list we publish for search engines. A data partner supplies no more than a fifth of the prices behind any figure. We do not edit, hide, buy or ask for reviews, and ratings are Google's.
Links
Every link in a paid spot is marked as paid in the page code (rel="sponsored"), so search engines can tell it apart. Links in the ranked list are not marked, because nobody pays for them.
When we cancel a spot
We end a spot if the business's licence lapses or is suspended, or if its Google rating drops below 4.0. We tell the business first.
Terms for concreters
Spots are month to month. A business can cancel with 30 days' notice and pays no exit fee. The first enquiries a Suburb Partner receives are free. There is one Suburb Partner per suburb and one City Sponsor per city.
Australian Consumer Law
The Australian Consumer Law bans misleading or deceptive conduct. For that reason paid content is labelled where you read it, our scores are published, and we explain here how paid spots work. If you think something on the site is misleading, tell us through the correction form.
How the score works
The score is built from public data and the formula is on how we score.
